My Benefits Canada ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information in compliance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation.

We collect: Contact Information (name, email, phone, address, province); Assessment Information (condition category, age group, support type); Medical Information (disability/condition details, T2201 form data — with consent); Financial Information (tax-related data for retroactive claims); Website Usage Data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, analytics).
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information to: assess DTC eligibility; coordinate with medical practitioners; prepare and submit CRA applications; communicate about application status; process retroactive tax adjustments; improve our services; comply with legal requirements.
4. Consent
We obtain your informed consent before collecting, using, or disclosing your personal information. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at privacy@mybenefitscanada.ca.
5. Data Storage and Security
All personal information is stored on Canadian servers. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security assessments. We do not store or process personal information outside of Canada.
6. Disclosure of Information
We may disclose your personal information to: medical practitioners involved in your T2201 certification (with consent); the CRA as part of your application (with authorization); our internal team members; legal authorities when required by law. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
7. Retention
We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law.
8. Your Rights
Under PIPEDA, you have the right to: access your personal information; request correction of inaccurate information; withdraw consent; file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
9. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Meta Pixel (Facebook), and Plausible Analytics. You can manage preferences through browser settings.
Note: The analytics and advertising data described in this section relates exclusively to website browsing activity. Your mobile phone number and SMS opt-in data are never shared with analytics providers, advertising platforms, or any other third parties. 10. SMS and Mobile Data
If you provide your mobile phone number and opt in to receive SMS messages from My Benefits Canada:
- Mobile subscriber data collected during the opt-in process — including your phone number, opt-in status, and any information you provide via text message — will not be shared with any third parties or affiliates for any purpose.
- SMS consent is not a condition of purchase of any goods or services from My Benefits Canada.
- We may use your phone number to send you application status updates, appointment reminders, and important notifications related to your Disability Tax Credit file.
- Message frequency varies; typically 2–5 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply.
- You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by contacting us at info@mybenefitscanada.ca.
